Packaging Quality & Order Checks

Agree dimensions, material, sample requirements and pack-out before an order is released. Keep inspection methods and acceptance criteria with the written specification.

Project checkpoints

Define the inspection scope.

Packaging performance depends on product construction, application and handling. Quality coordination therefore begins before production, with a clear quotation basis.

Specification baseline

The agreed dimensions, construction, adhesive or strength target, color, core and pack-out form the project reference.

Sample or proof

Where the project requires it, a physical sample or artwork proof is reviewed before production release.

Production follow-up

Order progress and material questions are coordinated against the confirmed brief with the selected manufacturing partner.

Packing check

Labels, carton marks, roll or coil configuration and pallet requirements are reviewed against the agreed pack-out.

Document review

Commercial invoice, packing list and shipment information are checked for consistency before handover.

Exception record

Any deviation that affects the agreed requirement is raised for confirmation instead of being silently accepted.

By product category

Choose checks that answer your purchasing question.

Agree the measurement method, tolerance, sample scope and acceptance criteria in the order specification. Keep the result tied to the grade and sample that were reviewed.

Inspection brief: specification and approval records
CategorySpecification and approval record
Packing tape

Width and usable length; backing versus total thickness; core and roll size; adhesive and carton surface.

Retain: Record the approved roll reference, thickness basis and carton closure trial. For printed tape, retain the dated artwork proof.

Stretch film

Width and thickness; usable length; film-only, core and gross weight; roll dimensions and wrapping method.

Retain: Keep the wrapper program or hand-wrap pattern, film consumed per pallet, breaks and agreed load-containment checks.

PP strapping

Width and thickness; surface; core and coil dimensions; machine limits and joining method.

Retain: Retain the equipment model, approved sample, feed/joint trial and the coil label used for acceptance.

PET strapping

Dimensions and finish; breaking-force basis in N or kN; tool, joint, tension setting and edge protection.

Retain: Record the agreed test method, joint checks and application trial. Strap strength alone does not establish an allowable pallet mass.

Important

Application validation remains essential.

Samples and production trials should be used when adhesion, load containment, machine compatibility or print appearance is critical. Final product availability and test scope are confirmed before order placement.
